Business insurance for Atlantic City businesses
Every business has its own risks. We build coverage around yours.
The size of your company, how many people you employ, what they handle, and whether you have business vehicles all shape the coverage you need. Many businesses end up needing more than one insurance company to get everything covered. As independent agents, we can place your coverage across several companies and keep it organized in one place for you.

Coverage to consider
Depending on your business and the insurance you're legally required to carry, these are the coverages most owners should look at first.
General liability
Protects you against claims of bodily injury and property damage that come up during normal business operations, like a customer slipping and falling in your shop.
Product liability
Covers claims that a product you made or sold caused injury or damage.
Professional liability (errors and omissions)
Covers claims that you made a mistake in the professional services you provide. It can pay for your defense and any settlement, which matters because legal costs alone can run to thousands of dollars even when a claim is dropped.
Commercial property
Covers your building, equipment, furniture, inventory, and supplies against losses like fire, wind, hail, smoke, vandalism, and civil commotion. It can also cover property that isn't yours but is in your care.
Workers compensation
Pays for medical care and lost wages when an employee is hurt on the job. New Jersey generally requires employers to carry it for their employees. The cost depends mostly on your payroll and the kind of work your employees do.

Builders risk
Covers a building while it's under construction or renovation, along with materials on site, against losses like fire, wind, and theft. It usually runs for the length of the project and ends when the work is finished or the building is occupied.
Business income
Replaces lost income when a covered loss forces you to close or slow down while repairs are made. It is also called business interruption coverage, and it is added to a commercial property policy, not bought by itself.
Commercial auto and garage
Commercial auto covers vehicles a business owns or uses for work. Garage coverage is for businesses that repair, sell, or store other people's vehicles. We write some of these policies, not all, so call us or tick it on the business quote form and we'll tell you whether yours is one we can help with. We don't write personal auto insurance.
Flood
A typical commercial property policy covers some water damage but excludes flooding. To be covered for flood, your business needs a separate flood policy or endorsement. Water damage exclusions vary from one insurance company to another, so review your policy with us before you need it.
